Description from the seller
The two pieces are knapped from gray to blue-gray flint, with visible calcite inclusions (beige/white stains). This type of flint is characteristic of the Cretaceous formations of the Paris Basin and, more specifically, of the Yonne region and Saône-et-Loire.

Coming from the commune of Flacy, located in the Yonne department (89), in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. This region is archaeologically very rich:
The Yonne Valley and its tributaries (Vanne, Cure) have yielded numerous sites from the Lower, Middle and Upper Paleolithic.
Prospections in the lower Yonne valley have identified numerous prehistoric occupations with abundant lithic industries.
Very ancient collection from the early 20th century
Many local collectors and regional scholars systematically collected flints from Yonne since the 19th century.
