Splendid and authentic sidelight for vintage automobiles dating back to the early decades of the twentieth century (the “Brass Era” / Model T), ideal for restoring historic vehicles, carriages, or as a precious collectible item.
The body is entirely made of solid brass in excellent conservational condition. The piece strictly follows the period road-signal codes: it features the large frontal magnifying lens for the white front light, a semicircular green glass gem on the top for the lateral clearance, and a red glass insert on the rear for rear signaling. This configuration identifies it specifically as the left front side lamp (driver’s side). The silvered internal parabolic reflector is extraordinarily bright.
The exceptional collectible value lies in the complete originality and integrity of the internal components: the burner still carries its vintage white porcelain nozzle intact. The micrometric rotatory mechanism for adjusting the cotton wick is perfectly contemporaneous and functional, moving smoothly up and down. A piece of early automotive history, rare to find complete in every part.
