Description from the seller
Mivar Modello R40 is a true piece of history of Space Age industrial design. Its strong point is undoubtedly the iconic elongated plastic orange shell, a color symbol of the 1970s capable of giving a strong vintage and Pop Art touch to any environment.
The front panel shows an elegant division: on the left is the speaker diffusion grille, while on the right the striking black dial stands out, enriched by silkscreened names of the historic radio stations of the era (such as Milan, Rome, Paris and Berlin). The radio supports FM frequencies (88-104 MHz) and MW (Medium Wave), with front controls that are essential and intuitive for volume and tuning management.
At the back there are the original 220V power cord, the antenna input, and a 5-pin DIN socket for the possible connection of external devices. With its compact dimensions (44 x 12 x 12 cm) and a weight of only 2.2 kg, it represents a lot of great charm for both vintage electronics collectors and enthusiasts of vintage furnishings.
