Petit Vingtième - Couverture de Hergé - Ile Noire - 1938

Rare fascicule from Thursday, January 20, 1938, with a very spectacular Hergé cover and one of the most sought-after of the entire year 1938.

Without a doubt, this illustration by Hergé will for many years remain one of the pieces that best captures “L’Ile Noire” and Tintin’s adventures in Scotland...

The fascicule has two small nicks along the spine. It had previously been bound in a handmade binding. The fascicule has been reinforced with the addition of a strip of Filmoplast on the spine, front and back, to finish giving a very handsome appearance to this copy highly sought after by collectors. There is also a small 1/2 cm tear at the bottom of the cover.
