This very early YAMAHA YD2 is from February 1960, which is very rare since import to Europe at that time only began in mid-1962.
Probably this one was brought out of Japan by Riemersma from Eindhoven.
This happened back then in small quantities.
Matching numbers and on the side covers.
Carburetor housing and the turn-signal lenses at the back are complete.
Everything needs restoration: chrome is rusty, paint is poor, the engine block is seized, front tire holds no air, etc., etc.
Rightfully a shed-find: the story goes that it seized up shortly after purchase and ended up in the shed.
