B.E.S. - SM 80 Speaker set

Amazing opportunity for collectors and audiophiles. Up for auction, a splendid pair of vintage B.E.S. acoustic speakers (Bertagni Electroacoustic Systems) model SM-80, produced in the late 1970s in the United States. This system is famous in Hi-Fi history for using a flat-panel radiating technology (structural expanded polystyrene) entirely different from traditional cone speakers.

Conditions and Operation: Perfect
Aesthetic condition: Excellent.
The brown fabric grilles are intact, with no tears or discolorations. The wooden bases and aluminum framing are well preserved. The original gold logos "BES" are present on the front.

Technical condition: 100% fully functional. The inner diaphragms are intact and the perimeter suspensions are in perfect, elastic condition with no signs of time-related degradation (a very rare factor for this model). Wide, 8-shaped omnidirectional sound, detailed and three-dimensional.
