We are auctioning this iconic pocket scanner receiver Sony AIR-7 from the 1980s, highly sought after by vintage technology collectors and aviation listening enthusiasts.

The unit is in showroom cosmetic condition, extremely rare for an item of this era:

Original factory sticker:
It still features the original promotional film/sticker "It's a Sony" placed on the LCD display.

LCD display and illumination:
Perfect liquid-crystal display, free of smudges or leaks, with the evening LED backlight functioning perfectly.

Mechanical and electronic condition:
Clean case plastic, sharp silkscreen, rubber buttons and knobs in excellent, fully responsive condition.

Battery compartment:
The original removable module/drawer at the back is present, intact and snaps perfectly onto the chassis.

Tests and operation:
The device has been tested with 6V DC external power and is fully functional in all of its receiving and scanning functions.
