Description from the seller

Altar fetish ADA EWE (GHANA)

Altar figure Ada EWE (Ghana)
Ewe Ada spirit helper figure (Ghana)

22 and 21 cm

Good age, patina of use and kaolin patina.
A classic representation of Mami Wata, the legs are replaced by a symbolic fish tail.
The fact that they bear a load indicates that these statues were designed to foster commerce.

Aklama fetish of the Ada Adan ethnicity .

This fétiche "Aklama" is a ritual object of the voodoo cult used by the Ewe language Adangbe / Ada of

These figurines represent the various hunting-related deities, which are also
common to the Yoruba and Ewe.
