Description from the seller
Reclining Armchair "The Great Eastern" – English Colonial Style
Elegant reclining armchair in English colonial style, inspired by British Victorian classical furnishings. Made of solid wood with a dark walnut finish, it features refined contoured sides and a comfortable seat with a capitonnè backrest upholstered in the original green faux leather.
Designed to offer maximum comfort for reading and relaxation, it is ideal for furnishing professional study rooms, libraries, lounges, and spaces with a classic and refined taste.
The backrest is manually adjustable: the tilt is modified by unscrewing the side knobs and removing the brass support bar, allowing the chair to be positioned and locked at the desired incline. The lower six buttons lack the leather cover, as shown in the photo.
Distinguished by the plaque "The Great Eastern – Liverpool 1811", the chair dates from the second half of the 20th century, roughly between the 1970s and 1990s.
Features:
• Brand/plaque: The Great Eastern – Liverpool 1811
• Solid wood frame with a dark walnut finish
• Capitonnè seat and back in original green leather/faux leather
• Reclining backrest with manual adjustment by unscrewing the knobs and removing the brass support bar
