Antique Column - 1850-1900 - French

Late 19th-century French lamp-stand column finely crafted both in its base and in the column itself in gilded bronze and copper. The column is a kind of reproduction of the famous Roman columns Antonina and Traiana, but the artist chose to replace the decoration with floral elements of considerable value. Coming from France, it cannot be ruled out that it may have been part of an Italian artifact purchased on a Grand Tour. In good condition, in my view not to be restored; over time it has been prepared to be used as an electric lamp holder (abat-jour). It does not sell in non-EU countries and only in continental European countries.
