Sony Walkman WM-DD1 – rare red version – incl. original Sony Case

For sale is a rare Sony Walkman WM-DD1 in the coveted red version, including the original Sony case.

The Walkman is in good used condition. The housing only shows the usual signs of wear from age and presents itself overall very neatly (see photos).

The motor starts up, but is clearly audible. Playback currently does not function. In my assessment, maintenance or an overhaul will be required. Often on these models the drive belt is the cause, but this is only a guess and cannot be guaranteed.

The WM-DD1 is therefore offered as needing restoration or as defective. For collectors and enthusiasts of the high-quality Sony DD series, an excellent base, especially since the red version is considerably rarer to find.
