Description from the seller
Refined pair of small vintage buffets with gently curved French fronts from the mid-20th century.
Each piece features a delicate, curved front, a characteristic that emphasizes the influence of Louis XVI–style furniture, reinterpreted here with a contemporary sensibility. At the lower part they have a small decorative frill. The structure rests on four Cabriole legs, stylized and curved. The surfaces, with sinuous lines and moulding softly decorated with an aged gilding, crown the ensemble elegantly. Each dresser consists of three compartments with clean closures, subtly integrated into the body, each with a handle, which brings modernity and formal purity to the whole.
Executed in ebonized wood, these chests exhibit a patinated finish with subtle turquoise tones, imparting a rich, deep, and singular chromatic surface. The sobriety of the ebonized wood is softened by these tones, which also give the piece a vintage air. These pieces, halfway between classical and modern, are ideal both as auxiliary bedroom furniture and as standout elements in entryways, living rooms, or hallways. Their sober aesthetics make them an exceptional choice for interiors that value uniqueness, the art of French furniture, and the charm of the timeless.
