Industrial architect/desk lamp from the Netherlands with a fully adjustable balance arm, metal construction on a heavy concrete base, height up to 105 cm, shade about 18 cm wide by 20 cm deep, circa 1970–1980, in good used condition and in working order.
Description from the seller
Industrial architect/desk lamp – adjustable balance arm – concrete and metal – circa 1970–1990
Object description
Clean industrial architect- or desk lamp with a fully adjustable balance arm, made of enameled metal on a heavy rectangular concrete foot. The lamp features a characteristic double spring mechanism, allowing the arm to be easily positioned in various angles and to remain stable.
The metal lampshade is rotatable and directionally adjustable, making it excellent as desk, drawing, or task lighting. The combination of white enamelled metal, visible technical construction, and the solid concrete base gives the lamp a pronounced industrial appearance.
The lamp is in working order. The lighting is currently operated via the black switch on the cord. The original white push switch on the back of the lampshade is present but does not function and does not turn the lamp on or off.
For optimal and safe operation, the electrical installation and wiring should be inspected by the buyer before prolonged use.
Condition
Good used condition with normal signs of wear appropriate to age and use.
Working via the black cord switch.
Original white switch on the lampshade is not functional.
Adjusting mechanism and double spring construction function well.
Light lacquer wear and signs of use present.
Electrical wiring present; buyer’s inspection recommended.
