Beautiful wooden alms box transformed later into a box/casket (as shown in the photo). Central Italy, mid-18th century, transformed into a box/casket in the second half of the 19th century (as shown in the photo).
Hinge on the original 18th-century lid, rear hinges replaced in the second half of the 19th century. Used but in excellent condition as shown.
Recently the interior has been lined with Florentine paper as shown.
Conditions: used, transformed but in excellent condition as shown.
