W. Luther - Box - Silver

An antique silver etrog or sugar box crafted by the Jewish silversmith W. Luther of Warsaw, dated 1875, made from 84-standard silver. The piece features a neoclassical oval rounded design with floral relief ornamentation and rests on four legs shaped like plant branches, complete with a locking mechanism though missing its key. Fully hallmarked on the base with the Russian Warsaw assay mark, maker's mark, and city mark. The box is in good overall condition, showing light wear, age-related patina, and expected signs of use consistent with its age.
