Description from the seller

Offering:

One exceptional and rare

Longquan ware double-eared vase

Description:

Widely flared lip, long neck, drooping belly, high foot ring, with two opposing ring handles on the neck and shoulder. The entire piece is covered in a thick, rich, vibrant green glaze, as lustrous as jade. The unglazed foot ring facilitates firing. The base is shaped like a raised teardrop, a typical feature of the Song and Yuan dynasties.

This piece dates back to the Song and Yuan periods, approximately the 13th century. It was handcrafted by Chinese artisans, and the materials and exposed unglazed areas help determine its material and production date.

Condition:

In good condition, with signs of use. The rim is slightly damaged but has been meticulously repaired with kintsugi (gold repair). A certificate of authenticity from Mr. Zhao Ziqiang is provided. The vase has been examined using a high-powered UV lamp. (Please refer to the photos if the text is not clear enough.)
