Bower & Wilkins - PV1 Speaker

The B&W PV1 Bowers & Wilkins is one of the most iconic and award-winning subwoofers in hifi history. The letters stand for Pressure Vessel (drukvat), a revolutionary concept in which a spherical enclosure made of extruded aluminum was chosen instead of a traditional wooden cube. The two 8 inch woofers are rear-mounted and move in perfect symmetry (opposed). This causes the mechanical forces to cancel each other out and the enclosure remains vibration-free, even when the heavy 500 Watt ICEpower Class-D amplifier drives the deepest lows. The result is an fabulously fast, super-tight and crystal-clear bass response that integrates seamlessly with both films and critical listening.
