For sale is an original Philips Philetta 254 BD254U tube radio from the years 1955/1956. The Philetta is among the best-known and most popular tube radios from Philips and is still appreciated by collectors today for its timeless design and compact form.

This exemplar is in an exceptionally beautiful visual condition. The Bakelite case is very well preserved and features an attractive surface with a lovely patina. Especially atmosphere-rich is the warmly illuminated scale, which also gives the radio a nostalgic and cozy charm as a purely decorative object.

The device was tested. It can be switched on and receives several radio stations. Depending on the location within the apartment, the number of receivable stations varies, which is normal for historical tube radios due to reception conditions and antenna situation. Due to its age, the radio is explicitly sold as a collector’s item. A full technical inspection or restoration has not been performed.
