This object is a vintage glass-and-steel cruet set. It was produced by the historic Tuscan brand Kristall Krisla. The company, founded in 1968 in Colle di Val d'Elsa (Siena) — the famous Italian crystal district — was initially known on the market as “Cristalleria di saliere.” Subsequently, in the 1970s and 1980s, it revolutionized its image by collaborating with renowned architects and designers (such as architect Taddei Sestini), before changing its name to Colle Cristallo in 1986. The containers are made of true lead crystal with 24% PbO, a standard percentage that gives the material maximum transparency, a high refractive index, and the classic resonance. The bottles feature the iconic original gold metallized label with the inscription “24% PbO Kristall Krisla.” The transparent bodies are topped with domed chrome caps and are set in a minimalist geometric stainless steel stand, satin-finished, typical of Italian modern design of that period. A rare set with its label, which adds to its value.
