Rare French fireproof safe from Allez Frères / A. Allez succr, Paris. Early 20th century. With a mechanical four-letter combination lock (known combination: K A S T) and a key mechanism. This impressive and authentic French fireproof safe was manufactured by the historic Parisian brand Allez Frères / A. Allez succr, a maker known circa 1900–1930 for high-quality fire- and burglary-resistant safes for offices, banks, and merchants.
It is a heavy, robust, and fully original specimen with a characterful rust patina, peeling paint, and a wonderful industrial look. The safe is equipped with a mechanical four-letter combination lock and a keyhole system. The original combination (K A S T) is known, but the mechanism no longer functions: the door remains closed. Therefore the item is offered as a decorative piece or restoration project.
