Statue, Paar Engelen - Putti - 34 cm - Polychrome wood

Offered a pair of beautiful authentic antique polychrome angel putti, originating from Italy, aged approximately between 1800 - 1850.

In good condition for age, some traces of the paint, craquelé, lovely patina.

A pair of angels with authentic colors, wings, notably the teeth that are artfully made, painted eyes.

Missing on one putto are pieces of wing, and a crack seam around the wrist (but not really disturbing).

One is in dark red colors, with black hair, the other in green, with gold-colored hair, you can see they were made as a pair, same size and weight.

A fine piece of craftsmanship, as a collector a special object to acquire.

The photos give a good impression of the colors, shapes and condition of the putti.

This lot sits in a high segment.
