Mirror - Wood

This mirror is an authentic Napoleon III period model, dating from the second half of the 19th century, characterized by a blackened wood frame (ebonized) adorned with gilded stucco.

The upper pediment is sculpted with a classical shell decoration of the Second Empire.

The frame features a bead frieze or foliate details typical of this period.

This type of mirror is often fitted with its original mercury mirror, offering a characteristic reflection.

In good overall condition

A small flaw at the level of the shell (see photo)

Two small repairs have been made to the stucco (see photo); it remains very discreet once the mirror is hung on the wall.
