The pattern is in the George II style. Various hallmarks, at the top with a cross and a star underneath, beside it JR-crown-lion-P whereby the crown stands for the official city mark of Sheffield. JR is the master mark of John Round and the flag with the star and the cross denotes the trademark of John Round & Sons. The passant lion guarantees a silver content of 92.5%.
