Description from the seller
Dutch 835 Silver Bracelet with Putti and Floral Garlands – Mid-20th Century
An elegant and finely crafted vintage bracelet in solid 835 silver, composed of articulated openwork panels depicting lively putti (cherubs) surrounded by richly detailed floral garlands and scrolling foliage.
Each panel presents a charming classical scene of playful putti dancing, carrying flowers and interacting with one another beneath decorative wreaths. Inspired by Renaissance and Baroque ornamentation, these figures symbolize love, joy, innocence, prosperity and the celebration of life. Their sculptural modelling and the finely pierced openwork create an attractive sense of depth and movement.
