This filing cabinet is a cool, well-preserved example of the classic Edwardian office furniture from the early twentieth century. Made of solid oak with a beautiful deep dark patina.

The heart of the piece is the full wooden tambour shutter that covers the entire cabinet compartment — a technically refined and delicate mechanism that has rarely remained intact. The shutter runs smoothly and closes completely.

Behind the tambour shutter are 9 open document drawers with wavy dividers and original brass label holders — ideal for organizing correspondence, drawings or documents. The keyhole at the top indicates that the cabinet could be locked.
