Description from the seller

A magnificent 19th-century Bohemian opaline crystal candlestick, exquisitely decorated with finely hand-painted enamel and rich gilt ornamentation. This elegant piece is further enhanced by an exceptional arrangement of original faceted crystal pendants and prisms, which beautifully refract the light and create a dazzling display of brilliance.
The graceful baluster-shaped stem supports a broad drip pan adorned with delicate scrolling motifs in gold, while the suspended crystal drops add movement, refinement and charm. The harmonious combination of luminous white opaline crystal, hand-applied gilding, and sparkling pendants is characteristic of the finest Bohemian decorative glass of the late nineteenth century.
The candlestick remains in excellent antique condition, preserving its original elegance and exceptional decorative appeal. Minor traces of age and gentle wear are consistent with its historical character and nearly one and a half centuries of careful preservation.
A superb collector’s piece of nineteenth century Bohemian craftsmanship, equally suited for an important collection of antique opaline glass or as an elegant statement object in a refined interior.
Height — 23.5 cm
Top diameter ~13 cm
Base diameter ~ 12.5 cm
