Antique crystal bridal goblet with a metal monture, dating to the early 20th century (ca. 1900–1910) from Bohemia (Bohemia/ Czechia or France), made of heavy lead crystal with a deep hand-cut geometric ribbed and fan pattern on a faceted stem and starburst foot, crowned by an openwork metal monture in Art Nouveau/early Art Deco style, in reasonable used condition with minor wear and no major cracks or restorations, measuring approximately 27.5 × 11.5 × 10 cm and weighing 1050 g.

Antique crystal bridal cup with metal mount
Description: Fine and rare antique crystal bridal or occasion cup (trumpet vase on stem)
This ceremonial object dates from the early 20th century (c. 1900-1915), and could be Bohemian or French?
The chalice is made of heavy lead crystal and features a very rich and deeply hand-cut geometric diamond and fan pattern (taille riche).
The stem is faceted and rests on a stable foot with a star-shaped incised pattern (starburst).
The upper part is elegantly finished with an openwork decorative metal collar (monture) in Art Nouveau/early Art Deco style.
They were traditionally around the end of the 19th century and the early 20th century (often as wedding gifts)
The cup is in reasonably used condition. The crystal shows scratches from use and over time has acquired a light veil/film deposition. The object is however free of major cracks, chips or restorations. The copper collar is intact and has a nice patina. See the photos for your own impression of the condition.
