Tex Willer is a character from Italian comics created in 1948 by Giovanni Luigi Bonelli for the script and Aurelio Galleppini for the artwork. He is the hero of fumetti (Italian periodicals in a format close to A5, often in black and white) which is best-selling in 2009 (250,000 copies each month at newsstands in its country of origin). It remains the best-selling comic in Italy, just ahead of Dylan Dog.
