Vintage Japanese Deba & Yanagiba Knife Set – "Tōho Tokusei (東穂特製)" & Signed Yanagiba (Partially Legible) – Traditional Japanese Kitchen Knives

An authentic set of two vintage Japanese kitchen knives consisting of a traditional Deba and Yanagiba, both handcrafted in Japan for professional fish preparation and traditional Japanese cuisine.

The Deba bears the signature "Tōho Tokusei" (東穂特製) and retains its original handle inscription "Tōho Forge Special" (東穂鍛造場特製), indicating production by the Tōho forging workshop. Its thick, robust blade is designed for filleting whole fish and handling small bones while maintaining the precision expected of traditional Japanese cutlery.

The Yanagiba is signed; however, due to age and wear, only the character "Zui" (瑞) remains clearly legible, while the remaining characters can no longer be identified. Despite the partially obscured signature, the knife retains the elegant long, single-bevel profile characteristic of traditional Japanese slicing knives.

Together, these knives form one of the classic combinations found in Japanese kitchens, pairing the strength of a Deba with the precision of a Yanagiba.
