Twentrain was founded in 2023 by Marijn Zeevalk. From an early age I have had a great affinity with model trains and have been active in collecting and track construction. At the age of 11 the time had come: I bought my first starter set and then I was gone. In my youth I already went to fairs a lot and in my student days I started buying some batches online to get the nice things for myself and to resell the rest. After my studies I started as a model railway expert at Catawiki, but after working for 9 years as an expert and team leader for model trains at Catawiki, I wanted to work with the trains themselves again. I missed having trains in hand and really working with the material again. But with a lot of experience from this time, I wanted to be more than just buying and selling trains. That is why I also offer valuations and consultations where a valuation can be made or where I can help you on your way so that you can sell your collection yourself if you wish. I can say that Twentrain was created for and through a passion for model trains. Of course, a company is a new step and there will also be a business objective.
