Kandem (Körting & Mathiesen) is a German lighting company with a history dating back to 1889. 
•The 12000 lamp is a Bauhaus creation: it was designed by Marianne Brandt, a central figure in the Bauhaus Metal Workshop. 
•The connection with the Bauhaus is one of the strengths: Kandem collaborated with the Bauhaus from 1928 to 1933, producing functional yet elegant design lamps. 
•According to some sources, the 12000 model is about 45 cm tall, with a shade of about 15 cm in diameter.

Strengths:
•Bauhaus aesthetics: clean lines, an essential yet well-thought-out structure. The approach of “functionality + form” is very pronounced.
•Materials: metal (typically painted) which gives solidity and durability. Many original specimens still have their enameled finish.

The Kandem 12000 lamp is a true Bauhaus design jewel: it combines historical aesthetics with practical functionality.
