Giusti '50', from Emilia Romagna in Italia, presents a 100 ml bottle of Aceto Balsamico di Modena Invecchiato 50 anni in new condition.
Description from the seller
Lot consisting of one 100 ml bottle of 50-year aged balsamic condiment, produced by Acetaia Giusti, Emilia Romagna - Italy.
The most exclusive collection of the house, produced each year in extremely limited quantities and drawn from some precious batteries of production casks dating back to the 1700s. One of these casks, coded A3, was taken by Giusti to the National Exhibition in Florence in 1861 where a 90-year elixir extracted from it won a gold medal, a success later repeated in Paris at the 1889 Exposition.
Iconically the case contains the five woods that make up the typical battery of small casks; the front label is engraved in 24-carat gold, while the rear label is produced with the ancient movable-type printing technique, using a nineteenth-century Modenese lead type.
Extracted each year in limited quantities, Giusti 50 is a special reserve aged over 50 years in the house’s oldest batteries of small casks. Characterized by a wide aromatic bouquet and the unmistakable sweet-and-sour taste, it presents intense woody notes and ripe fruit. Each vial is numbered and hand-finished, housed in a case with a small hand-blown glass pipette. A unique product, enhanced by the 24-carat gold label and printed with movable type, using a nineteenth-century Modenese font.
Ingredients: cooked grape must.
Aging: in ancient oak casks dating from the 1700s.
Pairings: risottos, fresh pasta, stuffed pasta, meats, aged cheeses, and desserts.
