RUF Book – The Limited Edition is a two-volume, numbered, illustrated limited edition English-language reference by Bart Lenaerts about RUF, published in 2019 and consisting of 590 pages.
Description from the seller
I propose the absolute reference book (and the only one currently available) on the Porsche preparer, which became a manufacturer based on Porsche: RUF.
"RUF Book - The Limited edition" is a cult book for all Porsche enthusiasts. Published in two volumes in November 2019, limited to 911 copies (here No. 377), the 911 copies were sold in one month and, since then, have become unobtainable.
The story begins in 1939, the year the Auto Ruf workshop was opened by Aloïs Ruf Sr.
He becomes a Fiat dealer in 1958 and BMW dealer in 1963. From the mid-1960s, Ruf specializes in the maintenance and repair of Porsches. The founder dies in 1974 and his son, Aloïs Jr., at 24, takes the helm of the company.
His objective is to manufacture optimized Porsche 911s and, from 1977, he obtains Porsche’s approval to prepare and optimize Porsche models.
The first, in 1977, will be the Ruf-Porsche Turbo Number One.
From 1983, the cars will bear the name RUF.
The first volume tells the story of Ruf and the second studies each of the 37 models prepared by RUF from 1977 to 2019 based on 911G, 964, 993, Boxster, 996, 997, 991, the CTR and SCR, pure Ruf creations and the Cayenne.
The two books are housed in an elegant green slipcase, in new condition.
An exceptional opportunity to acquire these 2 unobtainable volumes.
