The painting was probably acquired by my grandparents in the 1970s on a trip to Africa. Since then it has remained in the family. It was stored in a dry cellar for about 15 years most recently.

It is likely acrylic or oil paint, with sand possibly mixed in. The paint application is very thick and textured. A signature can be seen.

Das Bild wurde von meinen Großeltern vermutlich in den 1900 siebziger Jahren auf einer Afrikareise erworben. Seitdem befindet es sich in Familienbesitz. Es war zuletzt circa 15 Jahre in einem trockenen Keller eingelagert.

Es dürfte sich um Acryl oder Ölfarbe handeln, in die gegebenenfalls Sand eingearbeitet wurde. Der Farbauftrag ist sehr dick und strukturiert. Eine Signatur ist zu erkennen.
