Classical and elegant footstool/hearth stool in French Louis XV style, dating from the mid-20th century (c. 1950–1970). The furniture is made of solid hardwood with a warm, medium-brown finish. The edge (apron) features charming, hand-made floral relief carving and rests on gracefully curved Cabriole legs. The seat is upholstered with a high-quality, machine-woven Gobelin tapestry fabric with a traditional flower motif in warm autumn tones. The upholstery is neatly finished all around with patinated brass decorative nails. The underside is fitted with a clean cover fabric and felt gliders.
