Refined desk inkwell in gilded bronze from the late 19th / early 20th century, on a black lacquered wooden base. The piece depicts the bust of the god Mercury with the characteristic winged helmet (petasos), whose summit hides the ink compartment with a hinged lid. The shaped base accommodates its finely chased attributes: the caduceus with the serpents and a decorative goose-feather pen, making it a neoclassical-style collectible.

Dimensions: 12 x 23 x 16 cm

Raffinato calamaio da scrivania in bronzo dorato di fine '800 / inizi '900, su base in legno laccato nero. L'opera raffigura il busto del dio Mercurio con il tipico elmo alato (petaso), la cui sommità nasconde il vano per l'inchiostro con coperchio incernierato. La base sagomata accoglie i suoi attributi finemente cesellati: il caduceo con i serpenti e una penna d'oca decorativa, rendendolo un pezzo da collezione di gusto neoclassico.
