───
What’s special about this offering:
This ensemble is absolutely complete – a real rarity on the antiques market! Often the filter insert or the pipe has been lost over the decades. In this model, the coffee culture of yesteryear is preserved in its full glory.
───
Features & Highlights:
• Complete set: boiler, original lid with integrated steam pipe (including chain), original filter insert (percolator) inside as well as the accompanying warming tray (Spirit lamp).
• Design & craftsmanship: Beautiful hammered surface. The elegant handles are traditionally wrapped with bast/rattan to protect against heat.
• Operating principle: Classic Vienna percolator system. Once the water boils, the pipe on the lid sounds as a signal. The fresh coffee is served directly through the integrated tap with a wooden handle.
Condition:
• Very good antique condition with authentic patina from age.
• No major damage, deformation, or cracks.
• The tap and the pipe are intact.
• Uncleaned/unpolished – we leave it to the buyer whether to preserve the historical patina or to polish the metal to a high gloss.
Details & Era:
• Material: metal alloy (silver-plated/chrome), bast-wrapped, wooden handle on the tap.
• Era: Art Nouveau / Deco (circa 1900 – 1920)
Delivery contents:
1. Coffee kettle in hammer-marked look with tap
2. Lid with pipe on the chain
3. Original filter insert (percolator)
4. Matching rechaud / frame with spirit lamp
I have everything packed by the shipping company UPS.. They are pros at packing.
It costs a bit more. But I don’t set the prices.
