Description from the seller
An icon born to compete. Official document and representation of the BMW M3 E30, introduced in 1986 as BMW Motorsport’s most radical answer to the Group A requirements of DTM and touring championships. It wasn’t merely a sporty version of the 3 Series: it was a car conceived from the first line to dominate circuits and bring that experience to the road.
The BMW M3 E30 is the very definition of homologation made into legend. Its widened body, muscular wheel arches, the more slanted windshield, and the unmistakable rear wing were not aesthetic gestures, but technical solutions designed to optimize aerodynamics and high-speed stability. Every detail—from the flatter rear window to the specific panels—responded to one clear objective: to win.
Under its hood lay the mythical four-cylinder S14, a 2.3-liter naturally aspirated engine (later 2.5 in Evolution versions) capable of surpassing 200 hp in its early variants and achieving even higher figures in special editions. It revved with a mechanical fury, delivering power progressively and precisely, accompanied by a manual gearbox that demanded the driver’s total involvement.
Its dynamic balance, communicative steering, and pure rear-wheel drive offered a direct, analog driving experience, without electronic filters. The M3 E30 wasn’t driven; it was piloted. It was a car that rewarded technique, sensitivity, and commitment behind the wheel.
In competition, it amassed titles in the DTM, the European Touring Car Championship, and multiple national championships, becoming the most successful touring car of its era. On the street, it became a symbol of character, German precision, and uncompromising sporting spirit.
Today, the BMW M3 E30 is much more than a classic: it is an absolute benchmark, a cult piece that represents the purest essence of BMW Motorsport and the golden age of analog sports cars.
Comes with a black wooden frame and synthetic glass. Very well wrapped and protected for safe transport until you have it in your hands. The exterior dimensions are 63 x 93 cm and 3 cm in depth.
Large-format print with gallery quality. Museum-grade cotton canvas paper, 340 g/m2.
