Description from the seller

Antique Villeroy & Boch Terrine – Copenhagen Blue and White, Dresden Mercury Mark (1874–1909)

Beautiful antique porcelain terrines (soup terrine with lid) from Villeroy & Boch Dresden, decorated in the elegant blue-and-white motif “Copenhagen.”

This design is Villeroy & Boch’s interpretation of the old Chinese “Year Wheel” motif. The decoration was applied with hand-sprayed stencils; additional swirls and fine lines were painted by hand.

The terrine bears the brown Mercury mark, which reliably dates it to the years 1874–1909. With its elegant silhouette, the artistic handles, and the harmonious decoration, it is a timeless example of 19th-century European table culture.

A refined antique serving piece that also serves wonderfully as an display item for blue-and-white interiors, table arrangements, or curated collections.

Condition:
Good antique condition. No chips or cracks.

Dimensions approx.
– Opening width: 17 cm
– Width with handles: 27.5 cm
– Depth: 12 cm
– Height with lid: 22 cm
