Complete 1957 12-month annata of Quattroruote - Bound - 2 Volumes Semi-Annual - Excellent Condition.
The volumes I am placing up for auction are the splendid complete edition of the historic magazine Quattroruote for the year 1957, a fundamental year in the history of Italian motoring (year of the Fiat Nuova 500's debut and of the last Mille Miglia). The work, which at that time was in its second year of publication with extraordinary sales for the era, is meticulously preserved in two volumes bound in blue antique cloth (1st Semester and 2nd Semester) with elegant engravings and gold imprints on the spine.
All internal issues are complete. They retain their original covers for the individual months, all the inserts and advertisements of the era, as well as the paper subscription cards. The internal conditions are excellent. The pages show no rips, writings, missing parts, foxing, or damp stains. The paper is sound and perfectly usable. Good overall preservation conditions for the antique cloth binding, with normal and slight signs of time on the spines that certify authenticity, and there are only a few small areas of discoloration on the back cover of one of the two volumes. A unique opportunity for collectors, automotive historians, or enthusiasts of vintage graphics and advertising.
