Vase - Manganese Glass

Grand uranium opaline vase from Murano, Italy, made in the 1950s–early 1960s.
This elegant piece in creamy ivory opaline displays a magnificent neon green fluorescence under UV light, characteristic of high-quality uranium Murano productions.
The glass is thick, dense and heavy, with a very beautiful depth of material. The vase was blown and then carefully polished, which is particularly visible under the base. The fine pearled gilding at the neck provides an elegant and refined finish typical of fine Italian productions from the mid-20th century.
Its size is also remarkable: uranium opaline Murano vases are often smaller in scale, whereas this example is larger than average, with a very handsome decorative presence.

The vase reacts strongly under UV light at 395 nm as well as 365 nm,
