Very rare and completely restored Auto Union 1000 Super de Luxe from 1963. This concerns an original, Netherlands-delivered example, a particularly exceptional specimen that is seldom seen. The Auto Union 1000 Super is regarded as the true pioneer of the later Audi models and thus holds an important place in German automotive history.
This car has always been in the hands of a true enthusiast/collector and has been carefully maintained and restored. The mileage is only 68,000 km and is verifiable via the National Auto Pass (NAP), which confirms a plausible mileage.
Technical
The technology has been fully rebuilt. The characteristic 981 cc three-cylinder two-stroke engine with 50 hp has been completely rebuilt, starts immediately and drives excellently.
In addition, the following work has been carried out, among others:
* Engine fully rebuilt.
* Braking system renewed.
* Clutch mechanism of the manual four-speed transmission renewed.
* Clutch renewed.
* Four new whitewall tires mounted.
The car is in excellent technical condition and is ready to go.
Interior
The interior has been fully restored with respect for the original version. The upholstery has been renewed in the original color scheme and is in splendid condition.
Additionally renewed:
* Roof lining.
* Floor covering.
* Dashboard, with preservation of the original instruments and the original wood inlay.
* The original speedometer has also been rebuilt.
The interior radiates the luxury that was characteristic of the Super de Luxe edition.
Exterior
The bodywork has been fully restored and professionally repainted in the original color scheme. The paint has a beautiful gloss and the gaps are neat. In combination with the new whitewall tires, this Auto Union presents itself as a particularly handsome specimen.
Chassis and documents
The chassis has also been fully restored. It has been sandblasted completely and repainted and is in excellent condition.
