Description from the seller

Offered for auction is a classic and highly collectible piece of mid-century Dutch kitchenalia: an original Douwe Egberts wall-mounted coffee grinder. Likely produced in the 1950s or 1960s by renowned manufacturers such as Peter Dienes (PeDe) or Zassenhaus for the famous Dutch coffee brand, this piece is both a beautiful decorative object and a fully functional tool.

The grinder features a cream-colored ceramic hopper beautifully decorated with a striking gold sunburst pattern, bold "KOFFIE" typography, and the traditional red Douwe Egberts wax seal logo. It is mounted on a matching cream-painted wooden backboard and retains its original black lid, sturdy metal crank handle, and the original glass catch-cup (drawer) used to collect the freshly ground coffee.

Condition:
The coffee grinder is in excellent vintage condition and is fully functional (in working order). The ceramic hopper, glass catch cup, and wooden backboard are all intact. There are minor, age-appropriate signs of use, including light patina on the metal crank and hardware, as well as faint remnants of coffee grounds in the glass, which speak to its authentic history. Please review all photos closely as they represent the item's condition accurately.
