Louis XV Style Mahogany Side Table – Portugal, Mid-20th Century
An elegant Louis XV style side table, crafted in mahogany (or mahogany veneer), showcasing graceful proportions and timeless craftsmanship. Inspired by the refined French furniture of the 18th century, this piece was produced in Portugal during the mid-20th century.
The rectangular top features a delicate line-inlaid border and a shaped gallery edge, adding subtle decorative appeal. The open front compartment provides practical storage for books, magazines, or decorative objects, while the slender cabriole legs enhance the table's elegant silhouette.
The rich mahogany finish has developed a beautiful patina over the years, giving the piece warmth and authentic vintage character. Its refined design makes it suitable as a side table, bedside table, lamp table, or accent piece in both traditional and contemporary interiors.
