Lot of 11 natural tourmaline rough crystals from Afghanistan, total 9.80 carats (1.96 g), with pink to green to colorless hues, sizes about 10–25 mm.
Description from the seller
11 natural tourmaline rough crystals – pink, green and colorless – 9.80 ct – macro and transmitted-light photographs
This attractive lot consists of 11 natural tourmaline rough crystals with a total weight of 9.80 carats. The crystals show a beautiful range of delicate pink, salmon pink, green and nearly colorless tones. Several specimens feature interesting color zoning, including green–pink transitions as well as partially bicolored crystals.
The crystals are predominantly prismatic in form and display the long crystal striations characteristic of tourmaline. Some pieces have natural end faces or fracture surfaces, making the original origin of the crystals readily apparent.
The photographs were taken both as macro shots and with light shining through the crystals (transmitted light). This highlights transparency, color distribution, internal structures, and the natural crystal formation in a particularly striking way. The images are part of the description and show the actual scope of delivery.
