Description from the seller

Grand complete Limoges porcelain dinner service with gilding, mid-20th century (LOT 1)

Description :
Large authentic Limoges porcelain dinner service, dating from the first half of the 20th century (late Art Deco period or mid-20th century, between the 1930s and 1950s).
This neo-classical, bourgeois-inspired service stands out for timeless refinement, pairing traditional fluted shapes with an elegant gold frieze on the rims (mixing paisley-style motifs and lace) and delicate sprays of small golden flowers in fine gold scattered across the bodies of the pieces. The green back stamp attests to its origin and quality of craftsmanship.

Contents of the set (31 pieces):
- 12 flat plates (diameter: 24 cm)
- 6 deep plates (diameter: 22.4 cm)
- 6 small plates (diameter: 22 cm)
- 1 large vegetable dish with lid (32.5 x 18 cm)
- 1 large oval dish (26 x 26 cm)
- 1 large round dish (diameter: 29.8 cm)
- 1 small circular dish on a foot (22 x 4.8 cm)
- 1 small deep circular dish on a foot (22.5 x 6 cm)
- 1 sauce boat with its saucer (19 x 8.5 cm)
- 1 raver (24 x 14 cm)

Condition:
Excellent condition for the majority of pieces, with porcelain retaining its full shine.
The gilding is overall well preserved with light, sporadic wear on some pieces.
