Description from the seller
The Technics SU-8055 is a vintage stereo integrated DC amplifier produced around 1979–1980. It delivers 47 watts per channel into 8 ohms with a very low 0.02% total harmonic distortion, praised by audiophiles for its clean, musical sound, robust build, and distinct LED peak-level display meters. Sound Quality and Performance, Power & Dynamics:
Offers punchy and solid low-end response, handling dynamic peaks effortlessly despite its modest moderate-power rating.Sonic Signature: Clean, transparent, and precise rather than overly warm, providing a highly faithful reproduction of recordings. Phono Stage: Features an impressive, quiet 3-stage direct-coupling equalizer with high signal-to-noise ratio supporting standard MM cartridges. Features and Build LED Meters: Replaces traditional moving-needle meters with stylish, responsive LED power indicators that include a brightness switch and sensitivity adjustments.
Connectivity: Includes inputs for a tuner, phono, two tape decks with full dubbing capabilities, and an auxiliary/external source.Controls: Equipped with bass and treble tone controls, a low filter, loudness contour, and a speaker selector for main/remote setups.
