Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Two antique gilded bronze candlestick spikes from France, dating to 1850–1900, each around 47 cm high with a 9 cm square base, the first with a turned shaft on a tripod base and the second more ornate with architectural and geometric relief on a three-foot plinth, now converted into lamps with preserved electrification elements and one cord cut.
Description from the seller
Nice lot of two antique candle spikes in brass or gilded bronze and patinated, dating from the 20th century.
These two different pieces testify to a particularly interesting decorative work. The first features a turned shaft resting on a tripod base, while the second, more ornate, presents architectural and geometric relief decoration on a three-foot pedestal.
These antique candle spikes have been transformed into lamps. They thus retain elements related to this old electrification. The electrical wiring would need to be replaced at least for one of the two candle spikes because the wire has been cut.
They are in good condition, with some wear related to their age. They are about 250 years old.
