Main features of the Punto Festone work: The outlines of the floral motifs and scrolls are entirely finished with a dense satin stitch, necessary to seal the edges and prevent the fabric from fraying after being cut. Connecting bars: The gaps created by the intaglio are interspersed with small "bars" (or brides) embroidered, which join the different parts of the design, ensuring stability of the open-work structure. Fill stitch and piombini: At the center of the petals you can see a small circular finished hole (eyelet stitch or piombino), a classic detail of this artisan craft.
