Meissen - Coffee/tea service for 12 people - Model "Red Dragon" (Roter Drache) - First Quality hand-painted porcelain - Second half of the 20th century
Splendid and iconic coffee/tea service from the prestigious German manufactory Meissen, decorated in the famous and historic pattern "Red Dragon" (Roter Drache) with rich gilt finishes and gold details executed entirely by hand.
All pieces bear on the base the original mark of crossed swords in underglaze blue and are strictly FIRST CHOICE (the swords are smooth, without any line or scratching from polishing). The lot consists of a total of 12 saucers and 11 cups.
Condition: The service has been carefully inspected and presents the following conditions:
7 pairs (Cup + Saucer) are in perfect condition, impeccable, with no defects and with the vermeil/gilding intact.
2 cups show a barely imperceptible chip on the rim (the corresponding 2 saucers are perfect).
2 saucers show a barely imperceptible chip on the rim (the corresponding 2 cups are perfect).
1 saucer has been restored in the middle (accompanying piece).
The gilding and the gloss of the original glaze are excellent on all main pieces.
Cups: height 5 cm x diameter 6.5 cm
Saucers: diameter 11 cm
